Buddha-Bar Beach, Abu Dhabi
On April 26, partygoers in the capital can head over to the award-winning beach side bar and restaurant at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi and party like never before. Prepare to party from 1 pm until 2 am, with a three-hour brunch, DJ sets by local and international artists and an electric live act by a renowned violinist duo. Celebrating its first anniversary in style, the first permanent location from the famous Buddha-Bar concept will start the celebrations with it’s first-ever brunch. Served from 1 pm until 4 pm, the feast will include cold and hot starters served as a buffet spread, sushi and robata live stations, main course served for sharing at the table and a dessert corner. Guests can choose from two packages: AED 350 for food only and AED 475 inclusive of house beverages. You can groove to live music from 1 pm until 5 pm by DJ Mine Cavalo, then from 5 pm until 7 pm resident DJ Bambina celebrates the year round success of the beach and DJ Bambina takes over from 7 pm till 10pm with live performance by celebrity Duo violins.

The award-winning Asian restaurant is set to host a Seafood Market throughout the month of April with a display of the day’s catch. There will be a selection of sea bass, tiger prawns, salmon, lobster and squid. Guests can choose their favourites and get them cooked according to their preference – barbecue, grilled, steamed or stir-fry – with a selection of sauces to choose from between 6:30 pm – 11:00 pm.

Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi
For the first time in the UAE, celebrity chef Dharshan Munidasa will visit the capital for a three-day Ministry of Crab pop-up hosted at Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri from April 25 to 27, 2019. The event will feature four signature dishes from the famed Sri Lankan restaurant, which has been named as one of the top 50 in Asia. Hoi An, the award-winning Vietnamese restaurant will turn into the Ministry of Crab pop-up from 6:30 pm until 11:30 pm for the three days of the event. The menu, priced at AED 448, kicks off with a sharing plate of a creamy Crab Liver Pâté, followed by the rich Baked Crab, likened by many to a Crab Risotto. Don't forget to dig into the Garlic Chili Prawn that Chef Dharshan cooks in Italian olive oil, Japanese soy sauce, garlic and chili flakes in a style that is unique to Ministry of Crab.

Rosewood Abu Dhabi
Dai Pai Dong gives foodies in the capital the chance to indulge in an exclusive “From the Alleyways of Szechuan” menu, available throughout April. Chef Dong, the head chef at Dai Pai Dong, has designed a full menu dedicated entirely to Szechuan cuisine. The “From the Alleyways of Szechuan” menu will be available for lunch and dinn er with prices varying between AED 48 and AED 148. Southwest China is known to prepare more fish and beef dishes than other regions, and this reflects in the menu, which features favourites of the mainland like chili poached beef, pickled cabbage sea bass, wok-fried sliced beef rib eye and sautéed chili beef.

At Home with Chef Emad
Sambusek has introduced a new one-of-a-kind dining concept, At Home with Chef Emad. The experience offers connoisseurs of the cuisine the chance to enjoy a traditional meal served by the chef himself right at your table as he delights with his cooking while his guests enjoy the perfect setting overlooking the Arabian Gulf. The experience is available every Thursday evening for a minimum of four guests per table. A 24-hour prior booking is needed. The set menu is priced at AED 235 per person, inclusive of Lebanese grapes and beverages. To satisfy the sweet-tooth, Chef Emad will serve the Sambusek Sunset, which allows one to have a taste of all the signature desserts including Aish el Saraya, Arabic ice-cream and cheese kunafa with Emirati honey.
