Abu Dhabi Cricket, the UAE Capital’s largest sports hub, kicked off UAE National Sports Day last month with 47 complimentary sporting activities and demonstrations taking place across their impressive facility.
The event was inaugurated by the 2.5km UAE Walk for Tolerance 2019, with official horses and band from the Abu Dhabi Police leading the large community crowd of children and adults.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan joined in the celebrations and visited the activities taking place. He also took time to talk to and paused for photos and selfies with the children participating.
Guests were wowed by a Stadium dive from Skydive Dubai which saw seven men and women fly into Abu Dhabi and skydive right into the middle of Zayed Cricket Stadium carrying the United Arab Emirates flag alongside flags of the Year of Tolerance and UAE National Sports Day, offering an adrenaline fix for the spectators. With four zones offering a variety of sports from football and archery, to running sessions and touch rugby, guests had their fill fitness throughout the day. UAE National Sports Day ran until March 7.
