Happy and safe little travellers....

Published: Monday, February 29, 2016

Announcing the winners of our Child Safety First Photo Contest from February’s Oasis Living.

As part of our annual Happy Passenger Child Safety Seat campaign in February’s Oasis Living, we asked you to send in photographs of your child safely strapped into the family car.

We were overwhelmed by the number of responses we received! The kids – from babies upwards – all looked so cute, but more importantly so safe.

We are delighted to see how many of our readers who are parents insist on safety first in the car and ensure their children travel secure in their age-appropriate car safety seats.

We entered each entry into a random draw on February 16 and it was little Eliesha Adrielle Corona’s name

which came out first to win a Dh500 gift voucher, courtesy of Babyshop who has again sponsored this competition. Eliesha is 10 months old.

Our first runner-up is adorable Diego Daniel Robaina-Vardanyan, who is just two-and-a-half months old! His parents win a Dh250 Babyshop gift voucher.

The third name to be drawn out was that of Joaquinn Gabriel Buyco, who is 13 months. His parents also win a Dh250 Babyshop gift voucher.

We received so many fabulous photographs of cute kids that we haven’t enough space to include them all, but over the page you will find our selection of some of the best.

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. And please readers, keep spreading the word about the necessity

of ensuring that children, from newborns to pre-teens, are well strapped into cars using the appropriate type of restraint for the child’s age.

This is a campaign which really shouldn’t be dedicated to just two issues of a magazine – it’s something which must be practised all year round to ensure our young children remain safe while travelling on the roads. After all, what’s more important than our children’s safety?
